If, when opening Outlook, a user experiences an error message that says "Invalid xml" and does not allow the Outlook application to open, these are the steps to follow that should resolve the issue. 

Step 1: Click on Start

Step 2: Click on All Programs

Step 3: Find and click Accessories

Step 4: Click Run

Step 5: copy and paste or type in "Outlook /resetnavpane" in the window

Note: There is space between Outlook and /

Step 6: Hit Enter
